Dr. James H. Jang, DDS
Dr. James H. Jang graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from New York University College of Dentistry in 2004. After dental school, Dr. Jang completed a post-graduate general dental residency program in Peninsula Hospital with an emphasis in oral surgery.
Dr. Jang has pursued and completed an extensive amount of continuing education over the past 9 years. In 2008, Dr. Jang received Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This award requires three years of membership, passing a rigorous written exam in general dentistry, as well as 500 hours of continuing dental education. Only 7% of general dentists have received this award.
Dr. Jang trained with the best dentists in their respective fields. He has trained at the world-renowned Misch International Implant Institute for dental implant placement and bone grafting. He has also trained with some of the best dental surgeons in the U.S, such as Dr. Michael Pikos (Advanced Bone Grafting), Dr. Edward P. Allen (Soft Tissue Grafting), Dr. Hom-Lay Wang (Periodontics) and Dr. Stephen Buchanan (Endodontics).
In February of 2013, Dr. Jang graduated from the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. This post-graduate level program teaches the latest advances in cosmetic, implant, occlusion and restorative dentistry with emphasis in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Grounded with a life-long learning attitude, Dr. Jang seeks to incorporate techniques and technologies that will improve the outcome of treatments and ultimately enhance the quality of life of patients.
